Frequently asked questions

Prerequisites

I don’t have experience in tech. Is this program right for me?

Yes, this program is designed specifically for career switchers, whether you're from a technical or non-technical field.

You don't need a Computer Science degree and we teach everything you need to know completely from scratch, assuming you’re a complete beginner.

UiPath is a low-code/no-code platform, which makes it one of the most beginner-friendly ways to break into tech. All you need is a computer, internet access, and consistent effort each week.

Career switching into automation is the norm, not the exception. According to UiPath's own survey of 802 Automation Developers in 2024, 59% of them transitioned into automation from other fields rather than starting there.

Our past students come from a wide mix of backgrounds, including Business Analysts, Software Developers, Project Managers, Operations Managers, IT consultants, QA/Software Testers, etc.

Do I need coding experience to join?

Having coding experience makes it easier to learn automation, however the answer is no. You don’t need coding experience to start learning UiPath, because UiPath Studio is primarily drag-and-drop, so you build automations using its visual, low-code builder.

But you do need to be willing to learn basic “programming logic” (things like variables, conditions, loops, etc.), because building RPA workflows requires you to think like a programmer, even though you won’t actually be writing code in the traditional sense. So if you’re motivated and consider yourself an analytical thinker, you’re a great fit, even if you’ve never written a line of code.

What are the prerequisites for admission?

There are no technical or knowledge prerequisites. The Complete RPA Bootcamp is designed to take you from complete beginner to employed, regardless of your starting point. All you need is a stable internet connection, a Windows laptop or desktop computer, and a quiet place to work.

Please reach out to support@completerpabootcamp.com for further questions.

How does the admission process work?

We have opened the doors to allow anyone to enroll. There is no longer an application process. You can simply enroll at this link.

Do you accept students outside of the US?

Yes, everyone is welcome, assuming your country hires Automation Developers. Just please keep in mind that the entry-level $75k - $132k salaries are typically found in the US and Canada only. Please research what’s the expected salary in your region. You can check on sites like Glassdoor or Indeed.

Time Commitment

Is this bootcamp 100% online?

Yes. The Complete RPA Bootcamp is 100% online via on-demand video lessons. That means you can learn in your space at your pace anytime, day or night.

Are there live lessons?

No, we purposefully designed this program to be on-demand video lessons, because we understand that our students are in many time-zones around the world working full time jobs, often learning after-hours or weekends. So to make all training available and accessible to everyone, we removed our live lessons and taught everything in the video lessons. However, we still provide that personalized one-on-one support so that you’re not learning on your own (see Support FAQs below for details).

Do I need to quit my current job during the bootcamp?

You don’t! The Complete RPA Bootcamp is specifically designed to be a part-time training program, to help full-time professionals switch careers. So you can set your own schedule (as long as you meet the deadlines for all action items). We recommend setting aside 2 hours a day for 5 days a week during your 3 months of technical training, and 2 hour a day for 5 days a week for career coaching / applying to jobs.

Support

What kind of support can I expect while I learn?

We believe connections and ongoing support strengthen you, lift you up, and prepare you for success in your new career.

Throughout the program, you’ll be surrounded by support from:

Your 1:1 mentor: An expert Automation Developer who will provide regular 1-on-1 guidance and accountability in 30-minute video calls at a time that works for your busy schedule. This will either be Leon Petrou or one of our other expert Automation Developers.

Teaching assistants: Dedicated help when you’re stuck, and detailed feedback on each project that you build.

Student support team: Fast help with anything non-curriculum related, like login issues, course access problems, troubleshooting the course player, and payment or billing questions, so nothing slows down your progress.

And finally, your classmates and alumni network: Network for job opportunities, get feedback and advice from past alumni, and help each other where you can!As a bonus, we understand the value of using generative AI for real-time customer support, so we have built an AI email assistant called UiPath Eugene who provides instant support to any of your technical UiPath questions. In fact, you will also be building UiPath Eugene as one of the projects in the bootcamp, and you can even ask UiPath Eugene how to build UiPath Eugene.

Role Clarity

What is the difference between an ‘Automation Developer’ and an 'RPA Developer'?

Nothing, it's the same career path with an updated name. The role was originally called "RPA Developer" when the focus was primarily on Robotic Process Automation (the technology used to automate rules-based processes). But today's automation professionals work across a much broader technology stack: RPA, AI Agents, APIs, document understanding, agentic automation, and more. "Automation Developer" is the modern title that captures this expanded skill set. Although, you'll see both terms used interchangeably in job postings. This bootcamp prepares you for the full scope of the modern role, making you valuable across more job opportunities.

What roles can I be hired for after completing this bootcamp?

The role you will be hired for is most likely an “Automation Developer” role, or any other automation professional job offer you accept. This bootcamp focuses on teaching you the technical skills to design, develop, deploy and orchestrate robots, AI agents and humans, to automate complex business processes using UiPath. This role is known as an “Automation Developer” role. However, this role goes by many names including;

- RPA Developer
- UiPath Developer
- Automation Architect
- RPA Analyst
- RPA Consultant
- Automation Analyst
- Intelligent Automation Developer
- Automation Consultant
- Document Understanding Developer
- UiPath Specialist
- Hyper-automation Developer
- AI Automation Developer
Etc.

Is there still demand for Automation Developers since AI can automate work?

Yes, there's even stronger demand for Automation Developers after all the AI hype, and AI is actually the reason why.
